Whatcha Making for Supper?

Put me down for ice cream!
I bet it's been half a year since I've had ice cream.

I changed my mind on the sloppy Joes. They'll keep. And I'm glad I did, as the fresh bay leaves I bought earlier in the week looked to be on their way out.

I've been looking at some videos for gnocchi Sorrentino (thus the bay leaves) and they reminded me of something I made a long time ago that looked similar... except it had bacon in it and was baked in individual bowls.

I should have used the French onion soup bowls this time, too. It doesn't set up like a lasagna. But man it was good. Simple, too. Right up my alley. I can't wait til it sits for a day and I have it again.
From sauté pan to baking dish to plate :)

Making two extra dinners today.

First, I'm making Guyanese Pepperpot, which is supposed to sit in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 days before eating (after it is cooked).

Then I'm making an egg casserole that is supposed to sit in the refrigerator for 8 to 24 hours before going into the oven. Not sure why. Sounds odd to me. But, I want to try it out before I have company this summer as I'd like to have some quick and easy breakfast ideas. We'll be having it for dinner tomorrow evening.

There are no rules against eggs for dinner, right?
Right!
