I grew up at the beach and swimming in the ocean is one of the favorite things but some sea creatures ick me out and I do not like jellyfish. When I was a toddler a little tiny piece of a tentacle attached itself to my leg and it hurt like heck.Yes, afraid so. They don't live very long but it's nice to see one with all its legs still attached. There are some really large jellies out in the deeper lake depths. eek lol
I'm the same - look and don't touch them, and don't come near me! Even seaweed used to be enough to get me running from the water. I'm not so bothered by it these days.I grew up at the beach and swimming in the ocean is one of the favorite things but some sea creatures ick me out and I do not like jellyfish. Ammonia works wonders, too!The gulf has stinging jellyfish in august and September
Even the dead ones on the beach can can still sting you if you step on them
Use some Adolph’s Meat tenderizer helps the sting
And I have rubbed sand also
Vinegar is recommended by the life saving mob here for Blue-bottle stings. I remeber being stung as a kid .. ouch for many hours. If the blue stinger get's wrapped around limbs it will leave multiple stings.Ammonia works wonders, too!
