When do capons stop mating?

My roo was caponized on Friday at exactly 9 weeks old. I had never seen him mate a hen, and he never crowed. On Monday, the little guy mated a hen! I watched him be caponized… the second teste broke, and she fished out the other half. It looked like she got every last piece, and she is a true expert at this. Does it take awhile for the hormones to clear out?

After any mammal is neutered it can take 6-12 weeks for the hormones to abate. Not sure if it's the same timeframe in poultry, but I would expect it to be a few weeks at least.

Does anyone have capons that knows how long this behavior continues with birds?
