Where do you guys keep your supplies?

I just use large lidded plastic trash cans secured with bungee cords… one for feed, one for beddings. A large fillable water barrel. All sit behind our shed out of site. So far all works great, but I’ve only been at it for few weeks:). Loving my chickens!

I use clear plastic storage tubs and organize them into three main categories:
  1. Herbal Items – things like Coop Fresh, mite repellents, and all the lovely spa-scented stuff.
  2. Medical Supplies – great to have on hand for hurricanes too; includes vitamins, antibiotics, etc.
  3. Feed & Treats – dried larvae, crumbles, and the ridiculously overpriced scratch my girls refuse to eat because annoying me is their favorite hobby.
So, that’s three bins just for the chickens. I do have another bin/brooder tub (with heat lamps and such), but that one overlaps with the parrots, so it doesn’t really count in the “chicken-math” setup.

I dont do hay, I have a sand/dirt base. I do woodchips in the roost area/boxes. That is straight to the mechanical room.

Right now, I keep everything in the utility room since it’s close to the temporary coop. Once we move the coop, everything will go downstairs to the mechanical room- which is a walkout in the mountain—which is huge (around 30x50ft) and already houses the solar batteries, pool filter, water purifier, etc. If I could just get my landscaping and painting supplies under control, there’d be plenty of space. Sigh.

In the end, I’d recommend storing it wherever is most convenient for you—because if it’s too far away- or things like hay produce so much dust, it becomes a hassle fast.
