Where do you guys keep your supplies?

Right now I have two metal trash cans inside on a platform that can double as nesting areas/hiding spot for the littles. I keep the bags of grit and calcium out on the shelf. Functional this is wonderful, but birds do what they want which includes sleeping & pooping on the lids.

I don't like the current layout and will be swapping nest box (too high) and roost, debating if I can still get to cans if I put them under the poop tarp but I also want to install a Brooder box with a separate run in that corner.

I will likely get a cheap shed for non-food items tucked behind the coop. Possibly store extra feed/scratch bags in another metal trash can in it.

I buy poultry mix as I need it, and fill the feeder barrels straight away.

Egg shells for extra calcium sit in a tray or bowl to dry off, then I keep them in a calico bag and crush them up before scattering them on a spot in the garden. They eat it when they need it.

I'm changing from straw to wood chips for bedding. I shred dead tree branches into wood chips and keep them in 60 litre plastic bins inside an upturned thousand-litre 'pod' tank that has its top side cut off. I need to fit a tarpaulin over it to keep any rain out.

Mucked-out bedding goes straight into a 'compost corner' I made with old chipboard pallets and star pickets along the corrugated iron fence. When the compost is ready I can just lift up a pallet and let the chickens spread it across the garden!

Spare egg cartons sit on an old couch in the tool shed, near where the chooks sleep.

We have a finished coop and run with the chicks happily out in it now! But I'm wondering where/how to store all the food and chicken supplies? My thought was the garage, but it's a bit of a hike for us. Thanks for sharing what you do!
All my stuff is in my house, to my family's chagrin. So my house is a little (LOT) cluttered lol

Metal galvanized garbage cans. They come in several sizes and keep rodents/moisture out and feed fresh. Can be stored outdoors w/o cover. Best benefit:cost ratio

Mine is currently in the greenhouse next to the chicken coop/run in a plastic tote (with no problems so far). Works for now but I like the idea of a waterproof/critterproof drum next to the gate.

My coop is big enough for containers to be inside. I would not want it in another building. I keep feed in a metal "trash can" and extra straw in a big Rubbermaid container.

My birdseed is in a plastic garbage bin with a lid that turns and seals but still leaves a tiny gap for air. Gap is below the lid overhang so waterproof. This sits in the shade beside the avairies, and takes 2 x 20kg bags of seed.
Mum uses these bins for her seed too now, but has them in a seed shed down the back. She used to use 44gallon drums but they got too difficult to get the seed in and out for her in the last few years (she is over 90)

I just got home depot buckets with the screw lids for feed /treats etc. I am putting them to the side on the steps coming out of my basement. But I did find a suncast storage bench kn fb marketplace the buckets will fit in once I power wash it!
