Where to buy a SQ pair

Firstly, I'm not trying to scam anyone. How would I scam someone if I'm going to pay them?
Secondly, if I was indeed desperate I'd purchase the first thing that I came across. I have done,"the leg work", I'm just looking for suggestions on top of that. Maybe, someone could point me in a direction that would better suit me. I've done nothing, but research, plan and agonize for months .

The only reason I want to do this is to get me out of my comfort zone and hopefully help with my severe gad; I need something that forces me to actually interact with people; otherwise, I'd be fine with my pq. So, far the chickens have given me something else to focus on and it has helped.
Price doesn't matter, but that's what I can afford for the time being. Truthfully , I may get them and never take them off my farm if I can't work up enough courage, but either way I'm fine with it.
I posted pricing ,because I'd like to trust people not to scam me and ideally I'd see the bird/s before buying, unless it was a reputable breeder, then again hoping I could trust that person.
I also only posted pricing , because most people don't want to pay more than pocket change and I'm not one of those people.
***I'm not trying to be hateful or argumentative--there's enough of that out there, I'm only explaining my thought process. ***

I'm sorry you took offence. I was trying to help.

I'm not into silkies, but have seen trios for sale at shows for a lot less than you put out there. If you want show quality, go to a show. That to can help the GAD with as hard as it is. Whats harder is dropping more money than you ever need to.

Money may not matter, but real show quality birds can be cheap or even free.

Oh, no I didn't take offense , I just like to explain myself, I tend to over analyse and attempt to fit every minute detail in.
I've just seen birds go rather quickly at those prices and *assumed* that's what I'd have to pay .
I do greatly appreciate your input.

@Thehappyheifer
She meant 'scam' as in you saying a price and someone coming along trying to sell you a pair that's worth $100, but selling it to you for $500-$1000.
I get that now, no offense was taken. I just try to explain myself and tend to be overly thorough/over analyse, which is a slippery slope in itself. It's exceedingly difficult to read emotion via a computer screen and I know I tend to come off differently than I'd like much of the time.

I for one was floored when I saw the numbers. I had no idea they were that expensive!
Here's hoping you find exactly what you want at the best price possible!
