I'd like to raise some Bobwhite Quail as a hobby this year but I haven't been able to find any hatchery or breeder that sells Bobwhite chicks in quantities less than 50 chicks, which is far more than I need.

Most places have their minimum quail orders as above 50, like McMurray hatchery has a minimum of 100 chicks, and so far the smallest minimum amount I've found has been Cackle Hatchery with the 50 chick minimum.

So does anyone here know of any place where I could buy Bobwhite Quail chicks with a minimum order smaller than 50? The lower the number the better; around 15 would be ideal.

Thanks

Really it's not strange at all that you have to buy 50 or more. Bobwhite babies are small, they just will not make it through the mail at all unless there is at least 50 or more of them to keep each other warm. Have you tried to buy them locally? Tried Craigslist? I raise Bobwhites, but I would never ship any. Where are you located?
