Could you see the circles before cooking?I’ve had chickens for several years now and have never seen this. Has anyone else?
I am so glad you were knowledgeable on this matter and were able to help them! And now I know as well because if that would have happened to me, I would have freaked out lol!Not worms. I believe this happens due to variations in moisture levels, and the degree of cooking in the yolk and the effects on the proteins. I don't think there is anything wrong with the eggs. If the yolks were cooked to a harder finish the rings wouldn't be visible. There was an article or thread somewhere that discussed this before, I think, I will try to find it, but it may take awhile (If I ever do find it). I did find this one, which doesn't address this exactly, but does explain what happens when eggs cook.

Hi I thought so too! Not at all distinct once cooked. That's WEIRD! They look like germinal disks but they can't possibly be! Can they? Are they as prominent when the eggs aren't cooked?
Thank you so much that’s super helpful!!Not worms. I believe this happens due to variations in moisture levels, and the degree of cooking in the yolk and the effects on the proteins.
