I have had easter eggers before, and currently have 5. Every ee chick i have ever seen has that chipmunk pattern on them. I hatched 3 ee chicks 2 days ago, two are almost pure white/silverish and one is mostly black/gray. Is this unusual? Mabey all 3 are male? What are your thoughts?

EEs can be anything, and look like anything. Yours are going to be gorgeous! :celebrateThe parents are of mixed lineage and the cross is bringing out different aspects of that lineage. Excited to see them grow!

Lack of the chipmunk stripe in Easter Eggers does not mean boy.

I have light colored EE babies too. They came from TSC, so who knows what the parents were. :barnie

I have 2 light buff, like the chick in the front and a darker one. She's in the back at the feeder.

I've been dying to see what they grow up to be. They were light just like your babies.

Ok cool, thanks everyone. I was wondering if it was unusual or not lol. Now ive got 15 eggs in lockdown and 3 of my hens are brooding a clutch of eggs each (one silkie hen.) cant wait, ill have tons of cute chicks
