Who here has chickens for pets?

Hello BYC people! What people here keep their chickens for pets and not meat? We have 13 chickens and we just use them for eggs not for meat. What are your pet chicken's names?

P.s. I don't have anything against people who have chickens for meat, I was just wondering how many people have pet chickens

I have about 25 chickens, but there's a hen named Star who's the favorite. my nana lets her and a couple other hens lay eggs in the house!

We got our 6 chickens to be companions for our mini pig, Rufus…They love each other Eggs are a bonus. 3 Rhode Island Reds, Thelma, Louis and Reba-3 barred rocks, Dorothy, Ripley and Roseanne

I have 24 and they are all pets. I only eat their eggsI have 10 Easter eggers, 2 buff Orpingtons, 2 black Australorps, 6 Wyandottes, and 4 mixes. Easter eggers are my favorite!

I haven’t run meat birds for more than a couple decades. My birds are for egg production, and as such I can’t help that they become pets.

I don't really have pet chickens but I do have a pet turkey! She was originally for meat but I loved her too much ! My parents let me keep her! Her name id Jenny Merwenna
