Hi everyone so I have a German shepherd and for the past couple of days she is having watery poop so I thought it was her dog food so I changed it but then she pooped again so then she got a bark box and I let her try some treats in it and know she is pooping again. I'm think I will have to take her to the vet but what could it be and what will the vet do for her

When you change your dogs food you are supposed to mix it gradually with whatever food they are currently eating to avoid stomach issues.
Any new foods you introduced to a dogs system can cause diarrhea and that does include treats.

That could be a source of the watery stools. Another thing to consider is worms this time of year, or coccidiosis. Dogs get it too.

I would definitely get her to the vet so they can do a fecal float to check.

Not only feed changes as @staceyj described can cause loose stools but the type of feed can cause intestinal distress. Many dogs have food allergies and grains in the feed are the number one cause. Dogs should not eat grains and those that can't should be on a grain free diet. Many can not eat Beef or Chicken based diets although Lamb or Fish is tolerated well. Also avoid treats or food made in China.

great points!
Yes this is true and my own dog fared much better after switching to a grain free diet as he has had a lifelong (12 years) sensitivity to wheat and corn which would trigger ear infections in him.

Having said that, there is growing concern in the veterinary field about the possible link between grain free diets and Dilated Cardiomyopathy, especially in large breed dogs.

Bark box is full of unusual treats . I stopped getting it because between the treats I didn’t recognize and all the cow organ treats that I don’t trust until I check out the manufacture, I was feeding it all to the barn cats ...

Not worth the money ,

Dogs get the runs after shots all the time , adding a probiotic to the diet really helps , fortiflira by Purina is what vets give after surgery ... we use it here for nervous tummy’s .

I wouldn’t go back to the vet TIL 3-4 days . Stop the treats , give probiotics
