Why is my hen sleeping while standing up?

My dad's friend had to get rid of 2 hens because his neighborhood didn't allow it, so he passed them to us. However, one of them keeps hunkering low to the ground and sleeping while standing up. Is that normal? Should I be worried?

This hen looks very poorly sadly, standing like this is generally a sign that they are feeling unwell. How is she otherwise? Is she drinking and eating? Does she lay eggs? How are her droppings and what does her crop feel like?

I just got these chickens today from my dad's friend, so I don't know how well he took care of them. She eats and drinks regularly, but her first dropping was like diarrhea, then she pooped later on and it was solid and small. Also, crop is squishy and feels like a deflated balloon.

There is a lot of yellow mucus and orange material that makes you think that she could be dealing with a reproductive disorder or if she is very run down, possibly, coccidiosis. I would keep her and her mate separated from your others in quarantine for 30 days, to make sure they are not sick. Is her tail position down or up? Does she have any enlargement to her lower belly between her legs, and does she seem to have lost weight in her breast muscles? Did you get an age? Many hens may suffer resporductive disorders such as egg yolk peritonitis, salpingitis and cancer. I would observe her, possible worm her with Valbazen or SafeGuard Liquid Goat Wormer, make sure that she is eating and drinking. Feel of her crop at daylight tomorrow before she has had a chance to eat and drink, when her crop should be empty, and let us know what it feels like. Also, check her skin under the vent and legs, and elsewhere for evidence of lice or mites and their eggs.

These chickens are 1 years-old, I feel a little enlargement in between her legs. She eats a little, drinks a little, and then just walks around. Her face is kind of pale and her tail is up right now , though it was previously down.

I have amprolium with me for coccidiosis, and I also have SafeGuard too. If they do have coccidiosis, how do I use the amprolium?(I'm not good at this stuff).
