The father of those chicks is the one with dominant whiteNo. They hatch yellow and then get their wheaten coloring when they feather out
No. They will lay whatever their dad passed them, mixed with brown. So either shades of brown or greenSo basically only my three black chicks, out of the 9 brown eggs I was hatching, will provide the chocolate brown eggs, and the yellow chicks will lay blue eggs?
I have coocko marans and green Eggers that are black feathered. I think this hen is the mama.Pictures of parents would be helpful. :] unless your roos are purebred cuckoo maran, the chicks are mix. How long did you have these hens before you set eggs?
No as both of those roosters are Easter Eggers. I was just mentioning who the dad of the yellow chicks were. None of those roosters are Dark Egg breeds. They are EEs so their eggs range from Blue/Mint Green to Pink/Cream colorSo basically only my three black chicks, out of the 9 brown eggs I was hatching, will provide the chocolate brown eggs, and the yellow chicks will lay blue eggs?
You should be able to get at least 50% Olive Eggers and 50% Dark Brown eggers, so more options for your clients.Bummer!!!![]()
