Will domestic ducks mate with wild ducks??

I have some free range ducks, I just hatched some of their eggs and was joking with my husband that one of our females mated with a wild duck because one duckling looks sooo different than the rest! Then tonight we saw a male and female mallard hanging out in our backyard for several hours, in the same huge puddle our ducks always hang out. I doubt that it really happened but I am wondering, is it possible (or likely) that a wild duck would mate with a domestic duck??

I would think so, seeing as in the wild mallards can breed with just about anything and that domestics are all mallard derived.

Yes, I had a Rouen female mate with a male mallard. It was cute, he followed her everywhere in the yard. She like like 2x or more bigger then him though

Yep, just come to one of the lakes in my area. You see lots of domestic-wild mixes.

Whenever any wild ducks land on my ponds my 3 drakes jump it. No matter the size or if its male or female. They dont care. They consider it the toll for using the pond.

Yes, Florida mallard (mottled duck) both sexes look like female greenhead mallards. We are starting to see mottled males in the wild with green streaks on their heads from crossbreading with domestic green heads.

I have 1 Khaki Campbell drake, 1 Black Cayuga drake and one Runner hen. We live on a large creek and 7 Mallards (feathers have not even changed yet) have started hanging out almost 24/7.... I am hoping one of my drakes will breed with the Mallards. The Mallards are getting tamer by the day just by our constant presence and two of them have walked 1/2 way into the chicken/duck coop! Will keep my fingers crossed as I was hoping I had 2 hens and only one drake in my domestic flock.... May acquire more in the spring I love them all so much!

Sorry if it's a silly question but I have a domestic duck and near my house there is a lake that appears once every year and some ducks hang out there, they are huge and can fly since when the lake dries up they flee. Do you think if I take my duck swimming there, they may attack him? They are a flock of about 18

I think the biggest concern would be disease between the two...
Also if it's legal as a result of the disease concern?
