Evening all!!
Good Gravy it is hot! It's supposed to be hotter tomorrow!
The Girls are hot but holding their own and have been staying in the coop and keeping out of the run. I put the fan on them today.
I moved all the bunnies down to the basement. Not a moment to soon for Dimitri. I made his cage up and went to go get him to bring him in and he was not looking to good. he was very hot and his eyes looked glassy. I rushed him inside and held him in front of the AC unit for about 10 minutes. Once he got cooler he looked a little better. I set him in his cage and after about 30 mintues he was more perky and now her looks like his old bunny self. The does are all in one huge community pen and they seem rather fine with each other. So I figure that I'll keep them in the basement until it cools down.
The dogs are all fine too and staying in the house. They run outside do their business and run right back inside!
Tiki- I was a history major in collage. I loved American Revolutionary history and DH is a huge Civil War history buff. I can spot the wrong type of revolvers easier then rifles but I have to be paying attention to them. DH can tell at a glance. Cloths, hair styles and speech are the easiest to spot. Especially the word "hello". That one drives me nuts. I watched a western once with zippers on all the clothing, Jeesh! Zippers? Seriously?!?
Chickens are really easy to spot. In the Last Samurai at the very end the chickens were Barred Rocks. That was way wrong. They would have been a game fowl of some form.
CC-Hoped you waved my way when you passed Edgerton!
FT- Nice to know the horse is doing better. 20 years old! Wow! He looks younger then that even though he is thin.
Well gotts go bring in the rooster and turn off the lights in the coop and basement!
