Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

I hope you can get some replacement chicks soon,.
with all these newbies getting chickens, I have a hunch that in early winter there will be a glut of chickens for sale when they find out that chickens in the winter is not so much fun.
might be a good time to pick up some 1st year pullets.
we didn't have any issues with the snow and ice.,
but near Antigo there were electric poles snapped off. lots of people out of power even after 5 days,.,

Getting spoiled the last few weeks in California. Nice to visit on someone else’s dime if you can pull it off.

Trying to get chicks, and completely unsuccessful at the moment. Need to start replacing the aging flock who are now 6.
My neighbor hatches chicks if you are interested? She goes to swaps and sells on FB. If you want her information let me know. :D

We are located 30ish miles west of Wausau, and a touch north of 29.

Hope everyone is enjoying FFF.
The hens are out and about today having a blast.
They are in no hurry to head back into the coop.
Three Tom turkeys are giving them the evil eye,
wondering who they are.
Just a tad better with the melting going on. I'm
anxious to get some work in the woods done.
Enjoy the weekend, it looks like a decent one
without snow!

Yep Amer, back 18 years ago there was a handful of poultry
fanciers that joined Rob when he started BYC backing his new
venture by posting often and welcoming newbies with open
arms. He has grown this site into something quite special!
I'm sure he is proud of what it's become.

Brent, I hope you enjoy your time in the woods,.
I had a pine tree in the wind break. break off,.
it fell across the driveway to back where I park Ollie,. I am waiting for it do dry up on the ground before I saw it up. it will go onto the burn pile.
I was thinking about newbies with first time chickens, I am thinking that this fall/winter there will be a lot of chickens for sale once they realize that it is no fun having chickens in the cold months
that might be a good time to cushion your laying flock,
the sun was out until just now. I hope it comes back out.
