I’ve posted a couple times on other threads that I’m treating my flock for mites. While in treatment I can’t eat their eggs, and the same case is with the worming meds that I have. My mom suggested worming them at the same time so we won’t be without eggs for so long. But will this weaken their immune systems too much?

I would do this. The permethrin is a single treatment and then a second treatment in 7 to 10 days. Worming is the same. Stagger them though

There is no withdrawal of any kind when using permethrin on a bird.

Most things we give the birds are not on label for them. When that happens, the standard is to say two weeks.

It is good that permethrin is on label!

I do not withdraw eggs when I worm them. It is the same worm medicine that is given to people so if a little bit gets into an egg, It will not hurt me. I do not sell them or give them away because someone might be allergic to it.

...or get worms themselves, then product might not work in human due to resistance....not likely, but still.
What wormer do you use?
