Today I have found a wound on the beak of a pullet between her nostrils:

What is it? She is otherwise healthy.

This was her two weeks ago:

Is there anything she could have hurt herself on, like wire?
Has she been pecked by another chicken?
It looks like a scab from a very minor wound, it should heal perfectly fine on it's own.

Both possible - chickens get to free range in the backyard, there are chicken wires to keep the chickens out of the vegetable patch.
Also got a broody hen, who is possessive of the nesting area (there are two nesting areas, but they all want to use the same one).
With that said, I have never seen her bleeding from being pecked on, the dark coloration on her comb are just pigments that she has been hatched with.

That is a typical sore we see posted about here, usually from a minor injury rubbing on chicken wire or a sharp feeder.
Oh great, I am just a bit worried because I am also treating a lice infestation. Normally I dust bath my birds with poultry dust a couple times every summer, but I have been slacking this year. Yesterday I found lice eggs on one of my pullets, there seemed to be an infestation. I powdered all my birds. I was not sure whether the injure was related.
