A BCM roo over a barred hen will always give you black daughters and barred sons. As far as your straight comb fella, some SLW do carry the gene for straight comb, so it's possible. I'm not well enough versed in the gold/ silver question to give you a definitive answer

Yes that's was I was shooting for was some Midnight Majesty's, and my wife wanted some from Roady our BA.
I thought I confirmed every egg but a couple SLW eggs must have slipped past me by mistake.

I’ll take a stab at the bonus points. Double Yellow was shortened to dbl yell. and that sounds an awful lot like the Billy Idol song Rebel Yell.

Is she a double yolker? I had a hen that looked nearly identical to her, flogged me daily and had endless laying issues. Biting, flogging, giant eggs with double yolks and very thin shells were her trademarks.

Only issue I have with her is she lays a light egg with heavy calcium deposits regularly.
She did pretty good as a broody this year, but I haven't hatched any eggs yet from her.
