I'm pretty excited to follow this hatch. These are from Marans of Apple Hill.
Steve Copeland bought Little Peddlers line.
It's my understanding... Little Peddler had their stock directly imported from France and Mr Copeland has continued this line.

Brenda Little was gifted eggs from Monique Berte a World Champion French breeder. This name might ring a bell in the SOP Marans thread as @Chooks man spoke very highly of her. Brenda sold her line in April 2022.

A few updates..
22 BCMs set last night.

And set 4 BCM x EE for F1 Olives and 4 BC1 OE under the broody BA today.

I've got an feeling I may have a BCM going broody also. She spent all day and last night in nest box. I'll give her another night and set some eggs under her.

And I finally got a 2nd egg after 16 days from my last pullet to start laying. All 3 from Jessie/Joannie have nice color to them.

Haven't been able to collect enough to set for myself yet. 17 of these BCMs are sold, I set extras...

If the BCM is indeed broody, I'll set Kong x Solo eggs under her.

It must be that time of year for broodys. My Jersey Gena has that look in her eye again. She hasn’t fully committed but she is only 2 years old and this will be her 8th time broody so I have gotten pretty good at noticing the early signs. I can’t check her belly for a broody patch because she never grew her feathers back in since her last broody in January. I fully expect to find her in a nest box tonight when I get home from work.
