I am not showing birds, but I have very nice line White Leghorns and reasonable one - Brown Leghorns. I was looking forward to work on Black Crested White Polish, but the birds I acquired are so bad, so do not know if anything will come from that.
Oh, there you are.Hey yall! I I just wanated to mention that I run a fantastic farm in Marietta Georgia just north of Atlanta (The Pasture Farms) that offers rare breed baby chicks, started females (hens / pullets) and hatching eggs. Hands down the best place to get chickens if you live close enough to pick up. www.thepasturefarms.comView attachment 3662004
I know guy on here who used to have very nice Rhode Island Reds. Will send you message with his username.
Also there is person on Atlanta's Craigslist who has very nice Rocks, New Hampshires and I think Rhode Island Reds. In the spring, if you check Craigslist regularly, you may find them selling chicks, or eggs.
Normally I do not sell chicks, but if somebody asks, I can do it in small amounts. I use broody hens, so cannot promise more than 10 chicks at time
I have a small coop and successfully raised ISA's, Jersey Giants, RIR, and Barred Rock. I let them out every day to free range and they would return to the coop at dusk. Eggs were always laid in the coop nesting box. Never had a problem. Would White or Brown leghorns work, or would they fly off to roost in trees and lay in the woods?I am not showing birds, but I have very nice line White Leghorns and reasonable one - Brown Leghorns. I was looking forward to work on Black Crested White Polish, but the birds I acquired are so bad, so do not know if anything will come from that.
