Down south
we just let a first time broody hen raise a batch of chicks. when i walked into the house today i saw a pile of egg shell and i looked around and saw a chick his/her yolk sac (i’m guessing that’s what it’s called…?) was popped a bit and his eyes shut he is a bit weak and can’t hold his head up i’m guessing she left him to die for a reason but if anything i can do to help him would be great

Can you get a photo of the navel without the red light?

General care is to clean the open navel with saline or chlorhexidine. Apply a dab of triple antibiotic ointment.
You have her under a heat lamp, watch to make sure she doesn't overhead. You can put her in a shallow coffee or tea cup to help keep her upright a little more, line the cup with a clean paper towel. She may start to push and peep. The pushing will help work the legs. Hopefully the navel will close too.

If you have any poultry Nutri-Drench, give her 1-2 drops twice a day. A weak tiny chick like this may refuse to take drops of fluid.
Sometimes a chick like this won't make it but do the best you can.

Chick looks fine I don’t see anything wrong! Chicks tend to be very weak and tired after hatch and take about a day to learn how to walk. Cute chick btw!
