Your 2025 Garden

Pics
I was blown away when my jalapenos sprouted in 5 days, and the habaneros were only a day later.
I planted Painted Daisy seeds a month ago and nothing has come up. I put some seeds between a paper towel, wet it, put it into a plastic bag and stuck it in the refrigerator two weeks ago.

Checked on them today and planted the ones that were germinating.

I've had tomato limbs get heavy and lay on the ground and take root with out any help at all. I suspect a stem could be rooted in tap water. I've never tried it but if I remember I will later once I have some pruned off stems to work with.
Mine do that every year

It's cloudy with a feels like of 47° wind blowing today along with a saturated ground after hours of a drizzling rain. No playing in the dirt today. Tomorrow and Wednesday should be a lot better. We really need to get a lot done by Wednesday sundown as rains are forecast to return on Thursday. After lunch if a nap doesn't put me down I'll work on getting a raised bed put together for carrots an beets. I have both red and golden beet seed I really want in the ground. I've never had golden beets before and in the markets they are priced like they are made from gold. We go through a jar of pickled beets a week so the reds are important too. Ma makes several stir fry dishes a week that take 2-3 lbs of fresh carrots also. I have a few romaine plants to put in a raised bed too. We do have rabbits that come around. The latest disturbing find here is some very large deer tracks crossing the large garden area. They have to be from a large Buck. My have to hire a hunter... l've been told that farmers can harvest raiding and destructive deer. I've got to get that verified.

Another successful air layer. The two original tomato plants are now seven with one more air layer to go.
