Sooo cute!! I really want some bantam Ameraucanas too! I need some more bantams in my flock after losing 2 older ones this year, bantams just make the cutest little sounds haha. Gypsy hen has bantam lavender, black and wheaten Ameraucanas… that makes it hard to choose lol!

I got 2 extra Ameraucana eggs with my order of white Ameraucana eggs, but one egg was labeled differently, and I think this chick came out of it! Looks like she’s turning out to be a blue Ameraucana, which I’m definitely not complaining about! Now I’m just really hoping this one turns out to be...

We have 6 babies now! So exciting!! It’s so weird how the chicks can be colored like this when young but they’ll all turn out to be white. I expected them to all be yellow like white leghorns.

Today is hatch day for the white Ameraucanas! 4/7 eggs have hatched so far (there was 8 but one was infertile). 2 more are showing signs of moving and pipping, and just one egg hasn’t pipped yet… if I get 6/7 I’ll be ecstatic, especially considering these eggs were shipped from Oklahoma to me in...

Ok anyone else here have a really broody Ameraucana??? My splash Ameraucana Zoe is now going broody for the 3rd time since she started to lay in February! I thought Ameraucanas were not supposed to be a broody breed…. Now I’m just considering sticking her in the mama area with Millie and giving...

Hatching eggs are here!!! I ordered 6 and she sent 8 so that’s nice!! No cracks or hairline cracks and air cells are in the right spot and attached :yesss: I’m just going to let them rest pointy side down for a bit and replace the fake ones with these tonight!

I’m seriously hoping Millie will be a good mom (I already know she’s good at brooding!) because if she is then she’ll be the designated mama in my flock to hatch eggs that I buy haha. I think I’ll get some wheatens next then hehe. Here she is, awaiting the white Ameraucana eggs that will be...

Aww he's adorable! My broody girl is a bantam frizzle cochin! My splash Ameraucana has gone broody twice but she's very flaky with it and gets bored fast lol. The cochin on the other hand is insanely dedicated to the point where she brooded straw for a month and a half... I can finally let her...

Yes they’re so pretty!! Bantam white Ameraucanas would be such a fun project and they’d be adorable! Hoping out of the 6 eggs at least 4 hatch and out of the 4 I get 2 girls… won’t get my hopes up for a 100% hatch rate (although that’d be nice). This hen has been broody all spring and summer...

Super excited because I just purchased 6 white Ameraucana eggs from gypsy hen poultry for my broody bantam Cochin to hatch! She’s currently sitting on 6 fake eggs in the broody mama area awaiting the 6 Ameraucana eggs. I know lots of people think all white birds are boring but I absolutely love...

A white Amerucana is on my want list 😍 (pretty much all of the colors). Getting a lavender this spring!

I just wanted to say that since Zoe’s first egg she’s been laying consistently every other day!! People who purchase my eggs are loving her blue eggs! Can’t wait for my 2 new Ameraucana girls!

Hahaha I don’t doubt it I was checking on her multiple times once I noticed she might lay her egg 😂

Well this is a very weird coincidence…. Zoe ended up laying her first egg today. So weird that she laid her egg the day I posted about her 🤣🤣

Thanks for your responses!!! Looks like these gals take their sweet time to start laying lol. Im getting two or three more this spring (a blue/black, maybe both, and a lavender) so I guess I’ll have to wait until the end of 2023 to see eggs from them too!! 😂 They're lucky that they are super...

Hey everyone! Is it normal for an Ameraucana to have not laid an egg yet at 10 months? 🤔 She was hatched April 21 2022, and still hasn’t laid her first egg! She’s been squatting for months now and has a red comb! Very impatiently waiting for that blue egg 😅

Wow someone else who doesn’t prefer silkies! I have one, and do love her, but I won’t get more. Silkied Ameraucanas, bantam Cochins, and Seramas though? Yes please! I tend to prefer smaller crests too mainly because I feel bad that the chickens with huge ones can’t see very well! I have a polish...

Yes! I love silkied feathers. Although I am not the biggest fan of silkies… I know a very unpopular opinion lol, I just find them to be quite skittish. I like the silkie feathering more in other breeds like the bantam Cochins, Seramas, and Ameraucanas.

I have just come to find out that silkied Ameraucanas exist!!! What’s even better is that they came from pure Ameraucanas who had the hookless feather gene. They are so adorable. 😍
