    are delawares friendly.....or not???

I have read on different hatchery websites that delawares are sweet and docile. then I read a post here and some people said they had delawares that were not nice at all. should I not get delawares from a hatchery?

how early do you see "rooster behavior"?

we have 1 week old chicks, ordered as pullets. some are bossier than others....chasing, running, jumping on others. can that be taken as rooster traits or hens act like that, too. are they already establishing a pecking order as "pullets"?

our son's kindergarten class is hatching leghorn eggs in an incubator. they have started to hatch and ready for new homes. can anyone tell me if it is possible to sex leghorns? within the first day or so? feather lengths? we would prefer pullets if at all possible. thanks.

best watering, feeding and cleaning method?

can anyone tell me which works better? ......... hanging feed and waterers inside coop or outside? we will have our run area covered with metal roofing, so the feeder/water will not get rained on. thanks.
