I got my big drake some gals a month ago, he was trying to lov on my eight chooks, aurora my grey gal was laying every day with out fail, the other gal Tilly shud b laying she a little younger but
Could my 8 month old drake hav impregnanted them already he def jumps them, if so shud I separate...
We hav one shy chook who insists on roosting up high as she isn't accepted as of yet
We just try to make sure she dry and warm
And check for wounds as these can b made worse very quickly by other curious chooks
I had to make more places to bed down to minimize the squabbles
I've added twice
And after months the newbies still sleep together
The ones I've added r older so I let them sort it out themselves mostly
But because ur newbies r a little younger it might b a little different
I recently was given three kaki cambells drake and two hens
and was told the eldest gal was changing
I wondered if u hav too many drakes a gal could do this in plumage
But can't c how they change sex completely
I havnt bin keeping poultry very long ( since Jan 2014)

I got my seven year old daughter some Bettas for her birthday
We hav a heat pad and some ambulia
As long as their not over fed their easy to maintain
It's prob gud to make sure ur cousin understands they hav a fairly short life span
My pekin doesn't sound raspy but has a curled tail feather
We lov him but now hav two drakes in with our six chooks
Is it cruel to keep them with no girlfriends
