today a fox got my beautiful rooster

i notice one of my mix breeds was looking ill, and so i picked him up to examine him and noticed that he had a lot of pressure in his crop... i squeezed it and a little water came out, so i squeezed it more. it was full of water and a little bit of food is that normal. WHAT COULD BE WRONG?

well the laying feed is 18%... why cant i feed layer feed

what do i feed my heritage crosses to get the best result... i did start a little late to ask this but oh well. my birds are 7 weeks old and are just on layer feed. im getting some other males soon and want to feed them the right way. the breed i have right now are buff orpington crosses
