continued from below 3 of 3... I will clean their hutch part of the coop this afternoon, so it is clean before they go to bed. Any advice on this would be great, if you have time! I've been meaning to update you in how well things are going, but, this is the first misshap I've had. Thank you...

continued from below 2 of 3... Should I leave her with the others and treat all together? Or, separate her to treat her separately (preventing exposure to the others) and also treat the rest of the chicks with Buff. They are on clean grass in there chick brooder tractor coop outside.

:lauYep, Buff played me for scratch. Right now, I think Buff is trying to go outside with her chicks. But, every time she walks through the door, one of two of her chicks stay back. Buff then runs back into the brooder when they start screaming for mom. Poor Buff:clap

I don't know if I should start another thread... but I'll go ahead and ask. :) 1. When should Buff and babies go for a walk outside their brooder? I've left their door open a few times and she's only gone as far as the shed door. 2. What material do you use is for dust bathing? Normally, the...

Thanks! Actually, one of the two lavender Orpingtons should be male. So, I'm in the process of doing a lot of reading. Hoping all these breeds/personalities work well together :D.

Yes, Jester's a good pup. If he could, I believe he would raise those chicks if he knew how! Lol

This comment is so wonderful- thank you! I read this Sunday and haven't had a chance to comment until now. Yep, stopped the scratch like you said. She's eating the chick food well now and teaching her chickies. (When she was sitting on eggs, scratch was the only thing I could get her to eat.)...

Does anyone have any idea which chick is which breed? One should be a Welsummer and the other a Cream Legbar.
