I just started my flock about 8 weeks ago, and am up to almost 30... I am hooked!

I'm so excited... I have almost 30 chickens, but 5 white leghorns and 4 buff orpingtons just popped their huge red combs, and the roos are definitely interested. I'm waiting for an egg explosion!! I have three EE and one silkie that lay now, but soon I'm hoping I can use the basket I got for egg...

I have 4 buff orpingtons in my flock. They are my sweet quiet girls. Very good hunters (moths, mosquitoes, crickets, etc), and they hop up in my lap. They are a great breed.
