Okay, thanks everyone.
Luckily enough, we put down a small plate on the floor, and sprinkled some of their food onto that. Even though they walked all over it, in the end they found it and have been eating - which is good.
Yes, we've decided to leave them to get on with things. And maybe in a...
Hello All
Well today, we just bought our two ducks home. A female Black east Indian & A female Miniature silver appleyard. Both very very adorable!
Of course, they where very frightened of us. And run away to the other side of their pen whenever we come near, but im sure they will get used to...
Well, we have been looking into getting a ferret.
Would very much be appreciated if any of you know could give me the basics of caring for a ferret, needs of caging etc.
And if anyone knows of anybody who breeds ferrets or is selling any, or even if a rescuse centre has one for adoption etc...
Im thinking of ordering ducklings from Ideal Poultry.
But have to wait for next year for the breeds I would like but still.
Good to see everyone is leaving a positive message about Ideal.
Yes most breeds get along together. So mixing and matching will be fine.
If you are a bit uncertain about it then it is best getting the different breeds all as a young age together to grow up together etc.

Good Luck with your Future Ducks

Though alot of the time, people don't like their noise level.

Hehe, in that first picture, they sure love to pose eh?
Future Ducky Models!!!
Feed Store, so many people say it on this forum.
Is it something only in America?
Maybe That's Why I dont recognize it.
We're getting our two ducks, male and female(hopefully one black east indian and the other a call) at the age of 8 weeks old, when they'll be feathered.
So of course, since this isn't very young they will probably be quite timid etc.
This is quite worying, as i have a habit of checking my duck...
I can't give you a definte answer to this one, since i haven't actually kept ducklings myself.
Though I Plan too soon, Hoping My Other Duck won't find this a problem etc.
Anyway.
My chicks where actually very tidy.
And my friend who kept ducklings well, she admitted they where very messy.
I...

Its Hard To Believe, what a poor state he was in this time last year.
I'm still trying to find a few pics.
I brought Him up to the computer this morning and showed him all the comments everyone left. He seemed to get very excited.
