One of my ducks, a Welsh Harlequin I think, started laying eggs a few weeks ago. She kept laying pretty constantly for about a week or so, then randomly she stopped. No more eggs. She did lay some outside before then but I checked and none outside. She hasn't layed a single egg in about one...
Hello! So my welsh harlequin female was laying eggs then just stopped. Not sure why. So I gave the whole flock feed with calcium and gave oyster shells in a bowl, but no laying. This went on for about a month until I just realized today that, oh shoot, I have a drake. I didn't even think about...
Hello! In the past, I always planted a garden, with lots of fruits veggies, and flowers! I would sow so many but every time, only a handful would survive. :lol:Maybe I am doing something wrong, I don't know. So my first question, not really as related but, if you have any tips on how to succeed...
I was thinking about what my dream farm would be, when I thought, lets see what other people's dream farm would be! It doesn't necessarily have to be a farm. It could literally just be a small coop with a few chickens if that is your dream, meaning it could be as BIG or as small as you want...
SO, in this tread you are encouraged to share with us, your Cunning Crosses! This can be a chicken or duck, male or female, that has been cross bred with another breed. I have always wondered what different crosses would look like, so I will create an article, because you can't edit posts after...
It is starting to get colder and Taco (my pecked chicken) is still bare on her back. I don't know what to do, she will freeze but nothing I have tried has worked, and when I separated one it didn't go well. :( Does anyone know anyway to grow her feathers back without the other chickens pecking...
I have a duck who just doesn't go in a group and have fun like the other ducks, she just sits under the ramp all day. I will occasionally see her swimming but not often. When she poops it shoots out of her butt and is liquidy. She has been like this for awhile. Oh and she is 3 months old.
I bought this feed for my 6 week old ducks because it is organic grower, but why does it also say it is layer? The bag and the description are exactly the same!!!

My 3 week old ducklings just ran out of feed and I didn't have time to run to the store. I need something to hold them off for a day or so. Any thoughts?
I ordered Welsh Harlequins, 1 male 1 female, Blue Swedish, 1 female, and Cayuga, 1 female! I am very excited! Their hatch date was June 1st so they should be shipping tonight or tomorrow morning! Pics when they come! Also, I need names! If you know of some good names I would love to hear!
I don't know if I should post this in this forum or not but here goes.
I am not selling duckling or teaching how to sell ducklings like the title may suggest, but am learning how to sell ducklings. I know this is a big topic but why not.
So I am getting 4 ducklings on June 1st-3rd. My order...
I am looking for 1 Ancona hen, 1 Cayuga hen, 1 Welsh Harlequin hen, 1 Welsh Harlequin drake, 1 Blue Swedish hen, and 1 Runner. I can't find any hatcheries that have these sexed breeds in stock and hope someone has some. I would also hatch eggs if necessary but I prefer chicks.
Welsh harlequin 1 male 1 female, Cayuga, Runner, Blue Swedish, and Ancona. I have scoured the web with no luck. I don't know where else to turn. I would really love these duck breeds. :)
The gauge is 23 and is seems a little cheap for 50ft x 3ft. What is a good gauge that can protect chickens?
