I was remembering this interaction so went back to see it and also showed my friend (who knows nothing about chickens) these pictures and I was like hey do these look like the same breed and he was like "No, they have different neck widths" And I'm just like: ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?
I love the snow, and I've never really been down south. I don't want to be toooo far out in the middle of nowhere, but 100 acres of nice, rural land is what I'm going for.
Everyone seems to like Virginia......I've been planning to set up camp in Maine, but the winter is so long that I'd have to get so much hay for cows, sheep, etc
I'm a bit confused about splits:
If you breed color A to color B, you get birds that are A split to B, or B split to A?
then you breed those back to color A, and you get half birds that are color A, and half birds that are split to B?
Is that right?
@The Moonshiner how many of the colors that you're working with are existing colors that you're just breeding to SOP, and how many are colors that you're working on achieving?
