    So last week USDA announced that avian influenza has been found in dairy herds in Kansas and Texas! Sick cows, virus found in their milk. Another troubling cross species event, for sure. That milk is all destroyed, and another reminder that using raw dairy products is NOT SMART!!! Mary

    Yesterday APHIS reported AI in a backyard flock in Eaton County, Michigan. Not far from here! :he Mary Sorry, it was MDARD who reported it, not APHIS. Miserable news regardless.
