Absolutely amazing. I’ve gained a lot of respect for birds in general as I’ve come to know more about chickens. The raptors in particular seem to be so adaptive and able to improvise as conditions dictate. Great video.

I have definitely heard that beneficial nematodes may be the way to go (and in the meantime, recreational chicken treat excavation) of this pest, which seems for our area to be a Japanese Beetle. Thanks for the insight!
Those are fascinating, in addition to your descriptions. I very much enjoy your analyses of chicken life. As roosters age, I imagine it’s a bit like life in the wild—rotation out of active duty or boss status?
