Hi Ben and merry Christmas to all. I am considering getting a welsummer hen, Ben what was yours like and how dark were the eggs? Cream legbars, speckled and silver Sussex are also on the list so please let me know if you have any experience with these breeds that would be great. :)

Commiserations on your loss, we all know how much it hurts to lose a member of your flock. If you have never seen rats then I wouldn't be leaning towards that because there would be obvious marks on the body not just the face and other birds would probably have injuries. As for the bullying...
