The last 4 eggs of my May hatch were quitters with 1 full term DIS due to pipping internally on the wrong end. Total hatched? I lost count LOL.. The youngest brooder full has 29 chicks... Still have an incubator of eggs for a couple of hatches in June including a few turkey eggs for another try...

Of the turkeys due the 26th hatched on the 25th one weak and floppy. I have been...
Update here: Trying to nurse my weak poult so s/he can start running around with the other birds in the brooder. Another EE egg hatched today and a brown egg has a pip. both of them are of the 4 eggs due tomorrow. Then 1 egg due Sunday and 1 egg due Monday. Then a few weeks break I believe...
Question on Turkey Poults.... how long after hatching does it take for them to get stability and running around? The first one that hatched is seeming stable on his legs, the 2nd one does a lot of flopping around and ending up on his back. (less than 24 hours old).. Anyone with experience with...

This chick seems way more fluffy than any of my other chicks I hatched this year thats why I was hoping the silkie roo finally got some action in with the girls LOL. I guess I will wait and see how it feathers out as it grows.
This one hatched on Friday 5/20. I didn't think it was going to make it as it had not absorbed all of the yolk sac and was very listless.... I left it on a paper towel in the incubator and told my husband to check on it and let me know if it was improving or worsening as I was committed to be...
I can't promise but I *THINK* the egg that hatched today is a silkie/EE combo... I had the silkie roo in with the EE for a few days hoping they'd 'get along'... didn't have high hopes..but this chick looks to my inexperienced eye that they might have done something... LOL After s/he fluffs up...
Of my 4 years with chickens I have only ever had one broody... You have 13 how cool! Hoping one of my 7 decides to go broody and hatch some little ones this summer..
