Yes, although that is a skill I'm still working to improve as well as my vibrato.do you do shifting yet?
I dont think i would be considered super good but I have no comparison so idk. Every time i think about how long i've been doing it i feel like i should be better. You're definitly not a rookie! I've been playing 5ish years now
I can't do vibrato yet either. My teacher always said "Put a little wiggle on it even if you don't know vibrato." Every time she said it she looked STRAIGHT. AT. ME. Come on bro. Vibrato without knowledge = bad form and bad hand in future.Yes, although that is a skill I'm still working to improve as well as my vibrato.

My teacher says its something that just clicks and @Bakbuk said that as well so I'm taking their words for it. I almost have it but not quiteI can't do vibrato yet either. So true. I am a gripper. My teachers have always said to let your hand's weight do the work.My teacher told me that the trick is to keep everything loose, both with vibrato and shifting. Easier said than done!
