Kristen thinks so too. Exciting! I mean... "eggciting!"... haha.. I'll see myself outYes.
Oh boy! I don't know!??! Is that fine to do? Do people hatch at this time of year??Are you going to do any test hatches this fall?
Yeah, I might ask in the Minnesota group about this. Few places have more brutal winters than here. Some people hatch in fall, but they don't have hard winters either. Plan ahead, don't be tempted by excitement of discovery.
As I’m sure you’ve already received your own answer (it’s been over a year since you asked it) but we have 4 11 week olds that I’ve finally let out into the "general population " and they are doing fine. They stay within their 1 acre boundaries and coop themselves at night. They are good foragers and are able to slip in and out of all the big chickens running with them. They live with the sizes D’Uccles, Malays, Indio Gigantes, turkeys, and the biggest …emus.I've been eyeing hatching eggs on eBay. Does anyone know how these guys are free ranging? Are they good, active foragers? I like them a lot, but I want them to do a good job scratching through my horse manure piles to keep the flies down.
