Just brought home these lovely ladies yesterday. I got them from a breeder here in Michigan. It was quite a drive, but well worth it! She showed me her adult Barnevelder's, and they were so beautiful. I'm excited for these little ones to grow up. The breeder has no idea how old they are. She sexed them when they were day olds, and thought they were all males, so they were put in with the rest of the males (why they are missing feathers). I am guessing one is about 8-9 weeks, and the other two are 11-12 weeks. Just judging by their differences in size and development. The smallest still peeps.

I have been slowly working on taming them. I have a very small flock of three hens, and I prefer to have my chickens be tame so I don't have to chase them all over the yard when I need them!

I'm excited for these little ladies to grow. I just love their coloring as adults.

Sorry for the poor quality for the photos. My garage is very dimly lit right now.

Meet Hamble, my 18 week old (or thereabouts) beautiful Barnevelder.

Here is Hamble with her Speckled Sussex 'sister' Florence.
