Duck eggs day 21 Air cell photos and Incubation pictures

Thanks, I’ll look at the duck shoe info. Speck can’t come along for the ride because I’m going to pick up the duckling after work. It’s going to be 4 days old I think

I made Speck a shoe and it came off within 10 minutes. I might try again with medical tape.

Speck seems to be mentally developing everyday. Today she is preening more and learned how to do zoomies. She’s so cute!

I’m debating if I should get her 2 friends or 1. Everyone else in the family thinks I should get 2, I think 1. The downside of getting 1 is that if something happens to it, I’ll have a lonely duck again. Also it will be lonely on the drive home. The downside of getting 2 is the brooder will get crowded faster, although I can expand it

Speck has 2 new friends!!! I have 31 ducks now. I guess I’m crazy. Oh well 😂

They are extremely cute!!! The one duckling looks like a Welsh Harlequin to me? They are supposedly half Khaki Campbell and dad is unknown, but the seller also has Runners. I didn’t ask about Welsh because I didn’t think about it until I got home.

They did pretty good on the way home. I talked to them and they sat in their box preening and chattering.

Speck seems happy. The new babies are crying some but they are eating and drinking. I hope Speck teaches them to go under the heat plate

That is good news they are so sweet❤️how are the ones you moved out with the others were they accepted right off?
Yes, Div & Coriander we’re accepted right away and are doing well. All the bigger ducklings except Div have pin feathers now!

I took Speck and the new babies outside for some sunshine today. I was hoping Speck would be happier now but Speck was still very stressed about being outside. She was shivering and crying. I wonder if her vision is still not 100%?
Eventually she calmed down and started dabbling in the grass a little so maybe she’ll get used to it eventually 🤞 Also, when Speck is outside it’s more obvious that her walking is abnormal and her legs are a bit bowed. I have to say it was a bit discouraging to see how Speck still has some issues but I have to remember how far she has come.
