Duck eggs day 21 Air cell photos and Incubation pictures

I moved Coriander and Div out with the big kids. If Speck freaks out I’ll bring them back. I’m talking to someone who has newly hatched Runner x Campbell ducklings but I probably can’t get them for a week.

My adult ducks came over to visit the babies. The baby pen is inside the adult duck pen so that the babies have 2 layers of fencing. The outer fence is electric net

They are all beautiful!! Let me be know how Speck does hopefully she’ll be fine. I bet the babies are loving being outside.

Currently Speck is eating busily and chattering happily. She’s definitely growing. Maybe she’ll be big enough to go out with the others in another week but I don’t want to risk it if she’s not ready

You should give her a mirror she’ll love looking at herself and talking to the duck. She’s so precious.

I gave her a mirror this afternoon. She’s doing good. Cries sometimes but seems ok. She gained 20 grams since yesterday!!! She’s 165 grams now!

Just some cute pictures of Speck She looks so much healthier to me now. I think she’s going to be a beautiful duck (or drake). I might be able to get her a friend as early as Tuesday

Unfortunately speck doesn’t like being picked up or cuddled. Probably because in the beginning I avoided picking her up because she would freak out so much. I’m trying to get her used to being picked up.
She loves eating out of my hand and talking to me, and cries when I leave.

I have to drive an hour and a half on the way home with the new duckling I’m getting. I’m going to bring sugar water and stop and check on it a few times, but I’m already stressing about the trip

Speck had this very bent toe The toe on the other foot was also slightly bent, but it has now straightened out. I’m hoping this one will too. Of course I’m still giving vitamin B

You might try making a shoe and see if that helps to straighten it out more since she’s still growing.
How old is the new duckling any way you could take Speck along and separate with a piece of hardware cloth in a box or crate so they could be bonding in that time your driving?
