Isa's Homestead Happenings and Hangout

I have worked in several where it was impossible to get a signal and you had to go to outside windows to get a signal.
We're convinced it has to do with the lead lined walls in radiology areas.
The one I work at now isn't as bad as when I was a contractor for their "main campus " there it was terrible. Straight to "no service "

I'm glad they finally got a handle on it and they're getting her treatment. Diabetes can be tricky but a blood glucose over 500 and probably a high A1c should be a pretty good clue.
Sometimes it can take longer than they predict to get her stable. Sometimes the patient is brittle and that makes it harder.
It's a complicated disease and be sure she and whoever is with her gets through instructions from a specialized nurse.
I have had doctors tell me "Teach her what she needs to know and send her home." NO! She and her family need to sit down and learn all about diet, exercise, equipment, shots and medications.
I can think of worst diseases but few more complicated.
The doctors in both the ER and the ICU said they would have given it 1-3 months, and put her on insulin after seeing the numbers repeatedly being in the danger level.

We have a meeting set with the diabetes specialists and dieticians on Monday. Everything will be in writing for us, and anything not covered will be brought up by the family; if we think of it later, it is easy to get ahold of doctors in this particular hospital. They brought her to the cream-of-the-crop of NH hospitals. Even I would go there, and I hate hospitals. Every specialist/procedure can be found in that hospital, with the exception of some transplants (those must be done in Concord). I have already begun researching foods/exercises and all of that, but I will take the word of the doctors over that of an online article, so I am reading it all with a grain of salt.

In other new finally was able to get some crawfish for the first time this year. Got them for 4.99lb boiled. A big difference than 17.99lb a month ago

Theyre Amazing just so you know. Youll love em, need to make a trip
Need to be able to keep a dollar first. 😅 I just shelled out all of the money I got for my birthday from my mom, and all of my savings, just 2 days ago for rides to two hospitals (one of which is nearing the border to Maine, so, what? 70+ miles each way?). I am back to having a whopping $7 that is not already claimed by a utility bill. I am cancelling my piercing appointment, though. So that will save me $300. I am hoping to have at least $700 saved before Christmas.

Sucks. Just when it seems like you're making headway, bam.
