Ok, I'm a map geek, so I think this thread is awesome! I get to play with maps of people's farms all the time at work. This isn't Google Earth or Microsoft Virtual Earth, I made these maps at work.

The program calculates the acreages of each area I draw in. It's pretty neat.

This is our soon to be home. This map is just kind of showing the way things are now (except that the garden doesn't exist... I was just curious how big it could be there). The already open area will be used for pasture as soon as we close on the place and build fence. More area will be cleared for additional pasture. A lot of what is in the area labeled woods is small and brushy and won't be too bad to clear. This is a early spring 2006 photo:
