Now, how much are the eggs in your countries? For consumption (not hatching), fresh and from a farm.

Prices differ a lot.
About 30 cents for white eggs till about 50 cents for organic eggs.

I saw Sultan chicken today for the first time and I liked them! I have ordered a pair and I will have them in the beginning of May.
I have 3 broody hens, 15 eggs each and a broody turkey with 35 eggs under her Looks like this year (again) I will not use any of the incubators.

I don't have any chickens for sale at the moment. from time to time I sell a few. if my silkies start laying soon I might sell some hatching eggs. that's just to help the feed bill.

I found a list with medicines for animals from Belgium I like to share with you all. Most medicines are not allowed for chickens (factory farming - meat , eggs).

The names are often international /so text is understandable with some imagination. If not and you are interested in one of the medicine’s its easy yo translate with google translate.

Yes, a holy and happy easter for all the Orthodox. Protestants and Roman Catholic ate too many (chocolate) eggs last week.

So does anybody have Sultan chicken? As I mentioned I am considering buying a pair but Wikipedia says they only lay 50 eggs/year, so I would like to know if that is true from real experience.
