I need recommendations for a reliable brand/model of heating pad for outdoor brooding. The "mama heating pad" tunnel is the idea, but nights will still be frosty, so it can’t decide to shut off on its own, etc…
Y'all know what I need. There seem to be a million options and I’m not certain about any of them.

You're right, You definitely want NO auto-shut off and I have to recommend Sunbeam. I've been using the same ole Sunbeam for 10+ years. I'm just this year replacing it with a newer model out of concern that the heat wires could be brittle, fire hazard. Last year I ordered 2 different fails (they turned out to be Auto-shut off even though I didn't read that they were,) so I gave up and used the old Sunbeam. This year I got this one. I really do love MHP, works SO well. ENJOY!!

We use a sunbeam. It was pretty cheap and has a no shutoff feature. We will get our chicks next week. We will keep them in the house for just a few days, then out to the in run brooder. Last year I took a couple pictures showing the temperature of the heating pad and the ground below it. I don't actually montior the temps. These picture are to show that the heating pad is barely warm, just like a hen. And below the pad it is not all that warm.
