Hey everyone!! So I totally got shafted on my new flock...I literally feel 8 out of 10 are males and we are only hoping for layers. This one is definitely one of the largest in the bunch, but isn't challenging like the others (however there is so much testosterone he may just be weaker..) please tell me it's a girl!?!

would help to know what breed but there are no signs of a male on that one and most should have shown by 13 weeks so I'll say female for her.

Oh so if this is the largest one then yes they all sound female

That's a pullet.
If you're determining sex based on behaviors you're probably getting quite a few wrong.
That is VERY encouraging to hear!! A couple have started crowing and I see those males (because they crowed) challenging 4 other chickens in the flock. They have neck feathers spread out and seem to be fighting to get to the top...I am a newby though and certainly don't feel confident in my sexing...unless its obvious haha. Thank you this made my day!
