The Honey Factory

Cool, wet and windy here, the crew are miserable and in a bad mood. Supers are heavy with Blue Berry nectar with Holly getting ready to bloom. Counting my chickens afore they hatch looking at roughly 140lbs honey, but will be plenty happy with what I get. Cranberry bloom after Holly but that's only pollen, which I don't bother messing with.

Wild apple and crab apple trees are opening up here. Dandelion hit peak bloom, another week or so of that. Should have lilac in a week. We are finally into shorts weather. Forecast looks to be 70's and 80's until Friday.

Moving queen cells into mating nucs tomorrow. I'll have to be aggressively taking brood from colonies to support that. Never have enough bees when you need them.
