About the same here. I have slightly been down and out, but I am feeling a bit better I have lost another egg. I think I am going to buy some for my second broody soon though. Probably black copper Marans, weslummers, or both.

How do you keep losing eggs?

They keep getting smashed. I have two nesting boxes for four laying hens (I have ten, but six are not laying yet). They will not use the second nesting box, so they are all using one. The two broodys are laying in there, so I guess when the other chickens come to lay their eggs, they are stepping on the eggs.
