interesting! Mine won't touch tomatoes. We have our tomato plants growing right near the run too so it would be really convenient if we could just toss any damaged fruit in there, but it just sits and gets covered in ants.

They were completely fine this morning and it was 28 when I woke up! I went out to check their water and it was a little crunch on top of the cups but not frozen. Expecting another freeze tonight but less worried now. Crazy weather. It was 60 during the day.

Interesting! Multiple coops? Do they all have their specific coops they return to at night? I considered putting a second coop on my run when we expand but I pictured them all still using one and leaving the other empty.

I love my auto door. I have the runchicken door and it’s great.

They have decent feathering. I put the brooder lamp back on (way above them but enough to keep warm enough for the brooder plate). I just went out to check them and only one was under the brooder plate. The other three were lounging outside of it.

What’s the corn for? Shoot should I have been better prepared for this cold? They’re very protected from the wind in the coop. I’ve been more worried about my 3 week old chicks in the garage I wasn’t really thinking too hard about the big girls outside.
