dutchbunny...we just ate our first home grown chicken not long ago. It was an older roo so we stewed it to make Brunswick stew. We needed 2 chickens so one came from the grocery...nice opportunity for a taste test well there was no comparison. Home grown flavor FAR out passed the grocery store...

Soooo bummed...lost 2 nine week old pullets in the last 2 days...no sign of illness...no sign of predators...fine one day and gone the next...any ideas? Gave the remaining four from the same pen a drop of nutradrench in their beaks and added electrolytes to their water...not sure what else to do?

Hey! Just catching up and checking in :)...currently have lil chicks in my living room, medium sized chicks in the garage, and big chicks in the grow out pen...thinking back it would seem that I got a little carried away with the hatching bug this spring!!

Can anyone help? I have two rhodebar eggs in my incubator that are pipping at the wrong end...should I help? If so when? Yikes, I really do want these little ones to make it...
